Today, Islam is represented all over the world in hundreds of different countries by different ethnic and racial groups. Muslims are united under Islamic commonalities and welcome each other as members of the same family. Despite adhering to some culture-specific values, they still experience a rich diversity and remain fundamentally connected through the same system of beliefs and the same worldview. Muslims can comply with the social norms of their society, which have developed over the centuries as a consequence of regional factors, including climate, industry, heritage, national tastes, etc. The resulting variations are all acceptable provided that they have not been forbidden by Islam.
